Welcome to Flo Paul Podiatry – your foot specialists (chiropodists) in Lindfield and Horsham, West Sussex

Corona Virus - Covid-19 Update

5th January 2021

National Lockdown

We are OPEN and you are permitted to leave home for medical reasons, although you may prefer to postpone your appointment until February.  We are also available to assist new clients who require urgent podiatric treatment.

As medical practioners, podiatrists are permitted to remain open in the national lockdown. We are guided by the Government and in turn our professional body – The College of Podiatry.

We are taking the following precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 disease in our clinics:

  • Extending appointment lengths by 50% to enable us to wipe down surfaces with antimicrobial cleaners and to minimise you coming into contact with other patients.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) – clean gloves and apron per patient, wearing a mask throughout treatment.
  • Using a perspex screen to add an layer of protection
  • Using sterile instruments (normal practice).
  • Washing our hand before and after each treatment (normal practice)

How Can You Help Us?

  • Please arrive at the EXACT appointment time to avoid any patient overlap and alone if possible.
  • Use hand sanitiser when you arrive
  • Pay by card if possible
  • As the number of appointments available has reduced (due to longer appointments) please ensure you cancel your appointment within 24 hours if you are unable to attend so we can offer the appointment to another client.  Missed appointments will be charged at 50% fee.
  • Provide us with a mobile number and/or email so you can receive appointment confirmations and reminders.
  • Bring along a current medication list for our records.

Sadly we cannot guarantee that we do not have Covid-19 (as we are going to the shops and seeing other clients) but we are following all the rules and wearing personal protective equipment to minimise the risk of cross infection.  Patients that are shielding are allowed to leave home for medical appointments including podiatric care.  If you have any concerns about your foot health or appointment, please give us a call.  We are highly trained Health Care Professionals who are here to help you and want you to feel safe.

Podiatrists are degree qualified health professionals who specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the feet.  We provide general foot care and advice for people of all ages.  We are trained to assess problems including those associated with diabetes and arthritis, related to gait (how we walk), foot structural abnormalities or caused by badly fitting footwear.

Flo Paul is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a full member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Podiatry is the modern term for chiropody and is the term used throughout the rest of the world.
