Corona Virus - Covid-19 Update
As the country comes out of lockdown, we would like to inform you of the plans we have developed to reopen the clinic for routine appointments. We are being guided by the Government and in turn our professional body – The College of Podiatry. On Friday 29th May 2020 we were informed that we can now start treating people with non-urgent foot conditions.
We are taking the following precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 disease in our clinics:
How Can You Help Us?
Sadly we cannot guarantee that we do not have Covid-19 (as we are going to the shops and seeing other clients) but we are following all the rules and wearing personal protective equipment to minimise the risk of cross infection. Patients that are shielding are allowed to leave home for medical appointments including podiatric care. If you have any concerns about your foot health or appointment, please give us a call. We are highly trained Health Care Professionals who are here to help you and want you to feel safe.
If we should go into lockdown again, we will remain open for high risk patients and those people requiring emergency podiatry care.
Podiatrists are degree qualified health professionals who specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the feet. We provide general foot care and advice for people of all ages. We are trained to assess problems including those associated with diabetes and arthritis, related to gait (how we walk), foot structural abnormalities or caused by badly fitting footwear.
Flo Paul is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a full member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Podiatry is the modern term for chiropody and is the term used throughout the rest of the world.
The conditions listed below are the ones most commonly seen. Please consult Flo Paul Podiatry for any undiagnosed foot pain or concern.
For many people their feet work tirelessly and do not cause any concern; others may feel discomfort when walking or suffer embarrassment of unsightly feet; perhaps you are simply not able to reach your feet to care for them sufficiently. At Flo Paul Podiatry we treat people of all ages, in 2012 the age range was 99 years, from 6 to 105!
