Mel Benny

Apprentice Podiatrist

I started studying at Plymouth University in September 2022 and have now completed my first year of my 3 year apprenticeship. Prior to training as a podiatrist, I have been a member of cabin crew, ran a franchise, renovated properties and been a stay at home mum. I am training to become a podiatrist because during the lockdown my elderly neighbour started having mobility issues; I realised that I could learn a new profession and help others, which is something I have always tried to do.

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs, dress making and reading.
